Overall the general consensus was very positive and most of the nearly 6,000
attendees, bidders & exhibitors were very pleased with the inaugural Rand/Workman
Fine Motor Auction & Luxury Lifestyle Expo and the high caliber of cars
which were consigned. There were some unexpected delays in bidder and car registration
which have been addressed and will not be an issue at the next event. Additionally,
there were some parking and traffic challenges out of our control due to the
3 unexpected cruise ships which were docked harbor side of the event at the
same time. Lastly, this was the only date available in the fall at Pier
94, our event competed with: US Open Tennis Finals, the launch of Fashion Week,
the start of the NFL season, the Yankees/Red Sox baseball game and of course
the September 11th memorial ceremonies around the city. Rand/Workman is
reviewing the feedback it has received to make the next show that much more
successful and streamlined.
We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all of you that advised,
participated, or helped in any capacity (including pushing a car or two) that
made our event a successful endeavor. It gives us great pleasure to see
our entrepreneurial spirit for New York City come to fruition.
Warmest regards,
